INNOVABIOTICS S.L. is a company founded in 2013 by professionals with long experience in animal and human nutrition, feed and food additives as well as in research and development.
INNOVABIOTICS S.L. is specialized in the research, development, production and marketing of feed and food ingredients which combines different groups of additives and raw materials, such as active fiber sources, essential oils, organic acids and mono-esters of fatty acids.
We develop nutritional concepts based on the synergisms in the mode of action of several groups of additives,
and raw materials: we carefully select the best products and we search the advantages of mixing them, both technologically
for its use in the feed mills and biologically, for a further effect.
Continuously, the feed and food additives, adjuvants and the special raw materials have clear advantages,
but some limitations. In INNOVABIOTICS, we research the way of extract the maximum effect of each ingredient, which in most cases
is better expressed in combination with other ingredients. For example, the combination of organic acids and monoglycerides
of fatty acids offers the most efficient microbiological protection for the animal both in the stomach and in the rest of the gastrointestinal tract.
In addition to that, the monobutyrin complements the antimicrobial effect with promoting the effectiveness of the immune system
and reducing the inflammation. These concepts of mixing additives synergistically can be further improved with functional raw materials,
such as the active fiber concentrates.
Animal production worldwide has to adapt to a new production system with much less use of antibiotics, due to the antibacterial resistance.
We aim to help this transition with the development of complex mixed products that synergistically act and promote productivity, health
and welfare naturally. Additionally, we will try to design strategies that enhance the feed value to improve the sustainability, improve the health and animal welfare, and reduce the environmental impact of animal production.
In the food sector our aim is to improve the sustainability by using natural ingredients and adjuvants that can have a value in further steps in the chain.
INNOVABIOTICS S.L. wants to be a reliable supplier of feed and food ingredients that helps producers to manage the new scenario in which in addition to efficacy, other criteria such as sustainability, wellfare, health and environmental impact are needed to take into account.

The UPCYCLING OF BIORESIDUES AND AGRI-FOOD BY-PRODUCTS AS INPUTS FOR ANIMAL FEED (CIRCULAR4FEED) project is a beneficiary of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) call for grants to promote the circular economy in companies for 2022 within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan (PRTR), funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
The purpose of these grants is to subsidize investments that substantially contribute to the transition of industrial processes toward a circular economy, in line with the environmental objective corresponding to the transition to a new sustainable economy.
The objective of CIRCULAR4FEED is to minimize the negative effects of the generation and management of bio-waste and agri-food by-products on human health and the environment. Likewise, and in line with the principles that govern the circular economy, it will have a favorable impact on the efficient use of resources, which will be carried out thanks to the industrial symbiosis model made up of the companies in the group: INTERNACIONAL DE COMERCIO Y SERVICIOS, S.L (ICS), FJ SANCHEZ SUCESORES S.A.U., INNOVABIOTICS S.L., KIWI ATLÁNTICO S. L., BIOVALL HEPARIN SCIENCE SL and AGROAMB PRODALT S.L.
The environmental challenges facing the feed manufacturing industry stem from its dependence on soy, future phosphorus shortages, and the need to reduce by-products and waste generated. At the same time, it is a favorable sector for seeking synergies that promote their recirculation. CIRCULAR4FEED is based on the concept of industrial symbiosis, which promotes the exchange and utilization of by-products between industries, increasing resource efficiency for sustainable growth.
The CIRCULAR4FEED project is supported by European PRTR funds, and its actions are included in the Recovery and Resilience Facility, established by Regulation (EU) 2021/241 of the European Parliament and of the Council of February 12, 2021.
